Thirteen Commercial Properties Win The Outstanding Building of the Year® Awards

The commercial real estate industry honored 13 commercial properties with The Outstanding Building of the Year® (TOBY®) awards last week at the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International’s annual conference, the 2022 BOMA International Conference & Expo, in Nashville, Tennessee.

The TOBY Award are the commercial real estate industry’s highest recognition honoring excellence in building management and operations. The 2022 competition featured 62 buildings from eight BOMA International regions competing in multiple categories based on property type or size. These buildings first won a TOBY award from their local association BOMA, then competed and won regionally. Judging is based on criteria that include community impact, occupant and employee relations, sustainability, accessibility, emergency evacuation procedures, building staff training programs and overall quality indicators. A team of industry experts also carried out comprehensive building inspections.

The 2022 BOMA International TOBY Award winners are:

Corporate facility: 190 Simcoe Street in Toronto. The BOMA 360 Performance Program-the designated property is owned by The Canada Life Assurance Company and managed by Great-West Life Realty Advisors.

Earth: 11 Madison Avenue At New York. The building designated BOMA 360 is owned and managed by SL Green Realty Corp.

Monument: Canada Life building in Toronto. The building designated BOMA 360 is owned by the Canada Life Assurance Company and managed by Great-West Life Realty Advisors.

Industrial building: 6990 Creditview Road in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The property designated BOMA 360 is owned by MNBP Single & Flex Holdings Inc. and managed by QuadReal Property Group.

Mixed-use building: Rowes Wharf In Boston. The BOMA 360 designated project is owned by Prime Property Fund/Residences at Rowes Wharf and managed by JLL.

Renovated building: Presidents Square in Chicago. The property designated by BOMA 360 is owned by Glenstar Properties LLC and Angelo Gordon & Co. LP. It is managed by Glenstar Properties.

Low Rise Suburban Office Park: Lakeview Corporate Center in Westlake Village, California. The property is owned by LBA Realty Fund III-Co. XII LLC and managed by LBA Realty.

Mid-rise suburban office park: Greenhill Towers in Addison, Texas. The property designated BOMA 360 is owned by Codina Partners and managed by Crescent Property Services.

Less than 100,000 square feet: 7 Post Office Square In Boston. The property is owned by Nuveen Real Estate and managed by Cushman & Wakefield.

100,000-249,999 square feet: Granite Place at Southlake Town Square in Southlake, TX. The property is owned and managed by Granite Properties.

250,000 to 499,999 square feet: Mandalay Tower 2 in Irving, TX. The building designated by the BOMA 360 performance program is owned and managed by Parmenter Realty Partners.

500,000 million square feet: 150 North Michigan in Chicago. The building designated by the BOMA 360 performance program is owned by CBRE Investment Management and managed by CBRE.

More than one million square feet: 10 yards from Hudson At New York. The building designated for the BOMA 360 performance program is owned by Legacy Yards Tenant LP and managed by Related Hudson Yards.
