BAS Holdings Investments, LLC Announces Hiring of Evan A. Shields as Chief Operating Officer
MIAMI – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Evan A. Shields joins BAS Holdings Investments, LLC (www.basholdings.com) as Chief Operating Officer. Evan will lead the operations of the company and its series of verticals, including acquisitions, investor relations, marketing, asset management and human capital.
During his career, Evan has been directly involved in the financing and management of nearly $ 4 billion in commercial real estate investments. Prior to joining BAS, he served as Vice President of Investor Relations for BridgeInvest, one of the South East’s leading private real estate lenders. With BridgeInvest, Evan has helped manage nearly $ 600 million in investments and lead capital markets strategy, fundraising and marketing for the company and its series of credit funds.

Prior to BridgeInvest, Evan was a fund manager at R4 Capital Funding, one of the nation’s leading affordable housing lenders. Based in New York City, he helped run a $ 3 billion tax-exempt institutional bond fund backed by 9,000 low-rental housing tax credit-funded housing units in 16 U.S. states Evan started in l ” real estate with PGIM Real Estate Finance (Prudential), where he created and closed over $ 380 million in loans from all major asset classes in the Northeastern United States
Evan began his career as a high school math teacher in low income schools with Teach For America, and he continues to lead with fairness and passion for public service today. He co-chairs the Teach For America Miami-Dade Board of Directors, leads the South Florida Chapter of UNC Kenan-Flagler, and serves on the City of North Miami Adjustment Council.
Evan graduated from the University of Virginia in 2012, with a distinguished specialization in political and social thought. He received his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a full scholarship and concentrations in real estate and corporate finance.
